Think Spring at Wheeling Chamber of Commerce’s Home and Garden Show

Those looking to renovate their homes may enjoy the 49th-annual Home and Garden Show, presented by the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce, at WesBanco Arena this weekend.

With almost 100 vendors in planned crafters will also be present throughout the weekend. Denoon Lumber and WTOV-9 are sponsoring the event with Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration, Kalkreuth Roofing, LeafGuard of Pittsburgh and Troyer Furniture as some of the major vendors.

Lisa Goodnight, chamber special events and marketing coordinator, said the event brings residents out of the winter blues and into a setting focused on spring and future home and gardening projects.

“Many people are setting up their spring to-do lists and contractors are setting up their schedules and workload. This is the perfect opportunity to see the newest trends in home renovation and repairs — and to discuss projects with those at the show,” Goodnight said.

A variety of products are offered for all age groups, with thousands of people expected to attend the three-day show.

“We have several main floor vendors as well as crafters. … Our central location gives vendors from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio the opportunity to interact with approximately 10,000 people,” Goodnight said.

In addition to gardening, home decor, roofing and maintenance items, handmade crafts will also be on display and ready for a new home.

“We have several handmade personal products and home decor crafters, gourmet apples and homemade confections, jewelry and national brands,” Goodnight said.

New craft vendors will also be present at the Home and Garden Show, including Kopper Popper’s gourmet popcorn and Moonshine Chocolates. Entertainment options will be available for children of all ages.

Admission to this event is free to the public. It runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, contact Goodnight at 304-233-2575.
