Moundsville Man Charged With Sex Abuse
A Moundsville man is in jail after allegedly sexually abusing a young girl he was babysitting in December.
Shadoe Stewart, 27, of Moundsville, was arrested Tuesday after he reportedly babysat for a juvenile girl on Dec. 17. Her mother told police Stewart touched the child inappropriately during his time with her.
The alleged victim said Stewart had touched and taken photos of her, and forced her to perform sexual acts on him. The girl’s brother corroborated the account and also said that Stewart allegedly asked him to have sex as well, according to a criminal complaint.
In March, Stewart was located and interviewed by police. He allegedly admitted to touching the girl several times while watching television. He also allegedly admitted to taking several photos of the girl and touching her for “10 seconds maximum,” although he denied that he performed sexual acts.
Stewart was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree sexual abuse. He remains at the Northern Regional Jail in lieu of $60,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. April 20.
