Jimmy John’s sub shop plans to open soon at The Highlands, and the national chain hopes the Ohio Valley “freaks out” about its sandwiches.

“It takes a freak to make a sandwich that will make you freak,” according to Jimmy John’s motto.

“We’re freaks about quality, speed and service,” said store owner Mike Boldrick. “Our employees have a passion to serve fresh and fast sandwiches in their communities. And we deliver!”

Delivery areas and hours of operation have yet to be determined for the store.

Boldrick described Jimmy John’s sandwiches as “fresh, fast and tasty.”

The bread used is baked fresh daily, and locally purchased veggies and all-natural meats are hand sliced . Jimmy John’s also is now serving “Kickin’ Ranch” dressing, sliced pickles and 16-inch giant sandwiches, Boldrick said.

His favorite sandwich is the Italian Night Club — which consists of salami, capicola ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise, oil & vinegar and oregano-basil.

Other Jimmy John’s sandwiches use turkey, roast beef, tuna and all vegetables.

Jimmy John’s has has more than 2,700 locations across 43 states.

“We are always looking to expand our stores and serve more people,” Boldrick said. “We have five stores (already) open in West Virginia.”

There are two Jimmy John’s shops in Morgantown, as well as other shops in Charleston, Huntington and Parkersburg.
