BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

At 1:48 p.m. Tuesday, a complainant from Central Avenue, St. Clairsville, to report his rabbit being shot. The caller said the rabbit escaped from its enclosure and was found deceased four houses up the street with a bullet in its head.

At 1:38 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy was out on a traffic stop for driving under suspension near the Belmont Post Office, Belmont. Bill’s Towing was called to the scene, and a male, whose name was not listed in the incident report, was taken to jail.

At 12:32 p.m. Tuesday, a caller issued an animal complaint regarding a dog in a cage in the bed of a truck at Taco Bell, Valley Frontage Road, St. Clairsville. A sergeant advised that was not illegal.

At 8:22 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to a report of a possible narcotics overdose at an address on Union Street, Bellaire.

At 7:56 a.m. Tuesday, a sergeant responded to a complaint regarding an altercation at the Bel-Morr Shur Fast, Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont.

At 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to Chermont Road, Bridgeport, for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
