Martins Ferry Couple Remains Missing

Belmont County Sheriff’s Office investigators still are trying to find a man and woman who went missing in June.

Brian Goff, 64, and Joni Davis, 55, of Martins Ferry, have been missing since June 10. That was the date they were seen leaving a Pizza Hut at the Wetzel Springs Plaza on National Road, St. Clairsville.

They were driving a light blue 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88. The four-door vehicle has an Ohio license plate, number EYA 7482.

“We’re following leads and still talking with family members,” said Chief Deputy James Zusack with the sheriff’s office. “And we’re working with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. There has not been anything new as of yet.”

Zusack said investigators do not want to speculate as to whether foul play may have been involved in their disappearance.

“It’s still bothers us, but we’re still working it,” he said. “We’re still investigating, trying to find answers. … We don’t want to speculate on anything at this point.”

Zusack said previously that Goff is Davis’ coverage. Davis previously suffered a traumatic brain injury. They followed a strict routine, but have not been spotted at their usual destinations since June 10. Early in the investigation, the Ohio State Highway Patrol used a search plane to try to find their vehicle from the sky in the St. Clairsville area.
