Man Charged With Delivery
Members of law enforcement in Marshall County arrested a Moundsville man charged with delivering crack cocaine earlier this month
Joshua Booth, 30 of Moundsville, allegedly was caught providing a confidential informant with the drugs in June 2017. On that date, Booth allegedly sold .3 grams of crack to the informant for $40.
The drug purchased was field tested and presumptively indicated to be crack cocaine.
Booth was arrested Oct. 22 and was charged with a felony count of delivering a controlled substance. He remains at the Northern Regional Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
In an unrelated incident, police also arrested William Thompson, 26, of Moundsville, after responding to a call of a man who allegedly had been struck by a vehicle crossing an intersection on Oct. 2. The man allegedly pointed out Thompson’s car, and when stopped, Thompson allegedly told police that he had struck the man, who had told him to drive off without worrying about him.
The man denied having told Thompson this. He was taken to Reynold’s Memorial Hospital for his injuries.
Thompson was charged with failure to maintain control and leaving the scene of a crash with injury.
