At 10:37 a.m. Tuesday, a complainant from Rural King, Mall Ring Road, St. Clairsville, reported shoplifters — a male and female — walked out of the store with $500 worth of Milwaukee tools. The complainant said the incident was captured on surveillance video, and the couple left in a burgundy vehicle with West Virginia Plates. An officer responded.

At 9:47 a.m. Tuesday, a caller requested a welfare check on a resident of Joella Drive, St. Clairsville, after he failed to show up for work that day and on Sunday.

At 12:28 a.m. Tuesday, units responded to Colerain Pike after a caller requested assistance with a person who was reportedly getting violent with emergency squad members.

At 9:25 p.m. Monday, officers responded to Belle Village Apartments, Patterson Hill Road, Bellaire, for a report of an active domestic violence incident there. Matthue Allen Burgy, 25, was taken to the Belmont County Jail on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and is being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
