Orrick Global Operations Center in Wheeling Collects Winter Clothing, Camping Gear for Holiday Drive
Orrick’s Global Operations Center is holding a winter clothing drive to help keep Ohio Valley residents warm through the cold winter months.
All clothing, camping items and money donated will be distributed for free to men, women and children. Donations may be dropped off at Orrick, 2121 Main St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 14.
New or gently used clothes being collected include coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, hats, earmuffs and socks. Children’s items are especially needed. Clothing donations will be distributed evenly between the Salvation Army and the Wheeling Neighborhood Center.
Also, Orrick is partnering with Youth Services System to collect donations — such as bed sheets, sleeping bags, hiking boots and other camping equipment — for Youth Services System’s Winter Freeze Shelter. Financial donations will benefit the local Coats for Kids program, which works with the Salvation Army to help area children in need pick out a new winter coat.
All of the money raised stays in the Ohio Valley. Checks should be made out to Sinclair Relief Fund with Coats for Kids in the memo line.
