Wheeling Rage 9U Team Scores Home Run in Community

Wheeling Rage 9U Baseball team in partnership with local business sponsors hit a home run in the hearts of charities right here in their own community.

Over the last few months, the team prepared food baskets with blankets delivered them to the soup pantry, provided dog food for the animal shelter, shoveled snow for the elderly, and wrote letters expressing their gratitude to veterans.

“My coaching staff and I want our team to expand their worldview, develop empathy and leadership skills, and realize how their actions can have a positive impact on others,” said Zach Hanson, head coach. “We want these boys to understand that giving back is not only the right thing to do, but helping our community is investing in their self-worth and their future.”

Team members include Zach Hanson, assistant coaches Keith Bell, Justin Updegraff, and Bryan Fato. Players: Luca Benson, Owen Abraham, Rowen Parker, Zach Hanson, Dominic Fato, Maxx Taylor, Jaxson Updegraff, Seth Mandel, Sam Shinn, Isaac Tiu and Jackson Bell.
