Fisk Sworn In to Triadelphia Council

With the election results canvassed, Tabetha Fisk is to take a seat on Triadelphia City Council on July 1.

Fisk received 24 votes for the seat currently held by Jeremiah Gordon, who was brought on to fill an unexpired term left by former council member Cliff Adkins moving out in mid-2018. Fisk declined to offer comment on her election.

Fisk was sworn in along with incumbent council members who were re-elected. Sworn in Wednesday were Maryann Hess, Tom Allietta and Joyce Johnson. Mayor Kenneth Murphy and recorder Neal Carr were also sworn in. The next meeting will be held July 1.

Election results were canvassed Monday. Murphy and Carr both received 32 votes, Hess received 30, Allietta received 28, while Fisk received 24. Johnston received six write-in votes, two more than the next write-in candidate, Charlotte Carr. Four other write-in candidates for council were listed, as well as two write-in candidates each for mayor and recorder.
