Two Charged in Home Invasion

MOUNDSVILLE – Two men were arrested Friday for their alleged involvement in a home invasion armed robbery last weekend.

Moundsville police arrested Jonathan Underwood and Henry Huntsman, no ages or addresses available, Friday afternoon. Police said the incident happened just after midnight Jan. 26 on Ohio Street, when two individuals knocked at a door before allegedly kicking it in, identifying themselves as police.

Both individuals allegedly had guns and ordered the residents of the home to the floor, where they held them for an extended period. The individuals filled a tote with several items, mostly electronics, before leaving the scene, police said. Both individuals were wearing masks, but the victims were able to provide descriptions to investigators.

According to Patrolman Sean Wilhelm, after police followed leads throughout the week, charges were filed against Underwood, who already was incarcerated in the Northern Regional Jail for unrelated counts. He was charged with armed robbery, impersonating an officer and receiving stolen property; his bond was set at $200,000.

Huntsman was arrested later Friday and lodged in the Northern Regional Jail. As of Friday evening, he had yet to appear before a Marshall County magistrate for arraignment.
