Girls Arrested for Threats
STEUBENVILLE — Police arrested two juvenile girls from the city for making menacing threats on social media against Jane Doe, the victim in the Steubenville rape case.
Police Chief Bill McCafferty and juevenile division detectives were investigating social media comments they believed were menacing.
The two girls were arrested late this afternoon. Police are pursuing information about a juvenile male as well. They did not release the names of those arrested because they are juveniles.
“We take these threats very seriously,” McCafferty said, adding the investigation continues.
