City of Wheeling, Hammond PSD issue boil orders

WHEELING – Two boil orders, one affecting the Clearview area of Wheeling and another affecting customers in the Hammond Public Service District in Brooke County, were issued this morning.

All city of Wheeling water customers in the Clearview area from the booster at 37 Clearview Ave. to the tank at 56 Highland Road is under a boil order due to a line break. This only affects city water customers – those in Clearview who receive their water from the Ohio County Public Service District are not under a boil order.

Also, customers of the Hammond Public Service District in McKinleyville and along W.Va. 67, Chapman Heights, Lazear’s Lane and Marshall Terrace are also asked to boil their water as a precautionary measure due to a mechanical failure.
