WHEELING POLICE REPORTS

Multiple Complaints

At 9 a.m. Saturday, an officer went to a Center Wheeling location regarding complaints of entering without breaking into an auto, destruction of property and trespassing. The report did indicate whether an arrest was made.

Assault by Threats

At 1 a.m. Saturday, an officer responded to a South Wheeling location regarding a threats complaint.

Domestic Battery

At 1:02 a.m. Saturday, an officer approached a domestic incident at a National Road business.

As a result of the incident, the officer arrested Savannah Hans, age not listed, of Wheeling, for second offense domestic battery, and James Provenzano, age not listed, of Wellsburg, was arrested for domestic battery.

Both were placed in the Northern Regional Jail pending arraignment.

On Thursday, police arrested Ryan D. Fluharty, 31, of 411 W. 45th St., Shadyside, for violation of a protection order, disorderly conduct and criminal damaging. Bond of $500 was set.

On Thursday, police arrested Marcus S. McConn, 21, of Powhatan Point, for failure to appear.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Randall J. King, 46, of Cambridge, for failure to appear.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Adam C. Shoemaker, 25, of Bellaire, for contempt.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Richard L. Loew, 24, of 1201 Maple Ave, Bellaire, for criminal damaging. Bond was set at $750.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Christopher M. Ward, 27, of Shadyside, for contempt, and possession of Schedules I and II drugs.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Amber N. Thompson, 25, of Bridgeport, for domestic violence.

At 1:26 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a business on Reservoir Road, St. Clairsville, where a trash pump was stolen from a construction site.

At 10:50 a.m. Thursday, the branch manager of Hertz in St. Clairsville requested a deputy and reported a stolen vehicle. The caller was advised to contact the Akron Police Department to report the stolen vehicle, as it was registered at Hertz in Akron.

At 8:54 a.m. Thursday, a person at Blaine Bug Shop reported items were stolen stolen on June 20.

At 8:19 a.m. Thursday, a person at a store on Mall Ring Road reported he found small bag of marijuana in the parking lot.

At 6:07 Wednesday, a deputy responded to a report of an accidental shooting at a location on High Street in Flushing. The deputy followed the subject who was transported to the hospital for treatment to an injury from a gunshot wound from a 9mm gun.

Theft

On Thursday, police investigated a possible theft at a North Wabash Street address.

At 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, police went to a Chapline Street address in response to an earlier theft and destruction of property dispute.

DUI

At 7:36 p.m. Wednesday, police and fire units responded to the 1100 block of Richland Avenue where a vehicle crashed into a utility pole. As a result, police arrested Joseph Ross, 53, of Wheeling, for DUI.

Burglary

At 6 p.m. Wednesday, police investigated a possible fraud at a South Wheeling address.

Juvenile

At 8:14 a.m. Wednesday, police learned of a juvenile who wanted to turn himself in to authorities in the 300 block of Kruger Street.

MOUNDSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

At 9:14 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 1200 Fourth St. to a report of people fighting in the road.

At 11:19 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to 52 Walnut Ave. to a burglary.

BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

At 8:51 a.m. Tuesday, a caller at the Moose Lodge in Provident reported an attempted break-in. Someone tried to pry the back door open, causing the alarm to go off Monday night.

At 11:20 p.m. Monday, the office received a report of a male and female shoplifter in custody at Macy’s in the Ohio Valley Mall.

At 1:03 p.m. Monday, units responded to a report of a commercial vehicle that had crashed into a building at Western Branch Diesel, Friends Church Road, St. Clairsville. The driver of the vehicle and the contractor for which he was driving were based in California.

At 3:59 p.m. Tuesday, a client at the Department of Job and Family Services reported her wallet was taken while she was in the building.

At 4:28 pm. Tuesday, a resident on Provident Road found his dog dead and thinks it seems suspicious by the way the dog was tangled up.

At 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, a person at Blaine Bug Shop reported that someone stole parts from a boat parked there.

At 1:41 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle ran into the Western Branch Diesel building in St. Clairsville.

At 11:28 p.m. Sunday, a resident on Monroe Street, Bellaire, reported a car was stolen from Patterson Hill Road, Bellaire.

At 11:06 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to Country Club Road, where a person reported someone tried to enter house and when the suspect saw the caller, the suspect ran into the woods.

At 5:42 p.m. Thursday, during a traffic stop on West Bethlehem Boulevard, police arrested William James Carr, 35, of Wheeling for driving while revoked for DUI second offense.

Two Arrested

At 6:25 p.m. Thursday, during a traffic stop for no seat belt and improper display of registration, police arrested Thomas Ronald Opic Jr. for violation of parole and his passenger, Roy Allen McCarthy, for possession of cocaine, marijuana and hydrocodone bitarte.

Warrant

At 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, police went to South Wheeling to investigate a threats report. As a result, they arrested Russell S. LeMasters on a warrant.

At 2:33 p.m. Wednesday, officers served a domestic violence order at 1113 Third St.

At 1:29 a.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance involving several persons outside of Presidential Estates, Bridgeport, There was also damage to a vehicle. A deputy was dispatched.

At 11:21 p.m. Thursday, a deputy went to Main Street, Barnesville, where a caller said a neighbor was threatening him.

At 11:09 p.m. Thursday, deputies went to Reservoir Road, Flushing, where a person reported her children took her truck.

At 2:40 p.m. Thursday, a person reported that on Rock River Road, Barnesville, there was a truck off the road and it appears to have been set on fire. Police learned the truck was reported to have been stolen out of Barnesville.

At 1:51 p.m. Thursday, a person on Spring Hill, Bellaire, reported phone lines went dead and someone is stealing them.

On Thursday, police arrested Zachary M, Barnes, 25, of Kirkwood Heights, Bridgeport, for theft. Bond was set $1,000.

On Thursday, troopers arrested Eric W. Wilson, 40, of 400 Woodale Ave., Minerva, Ohio, for driving under suspension and speed. Bond was set at $615.

At 6:09 p.m. Wednesday, responded to a call on Eoff Street regarding a man who wanted to retrieve his wallet. While driving to the location, officers saw two males fighting in the street. DEPARTMENT

On Tuesday, deputies arrested Amy L. Betts, 35, of Harrisburg, N.C., for interference with custody.

At 7:07 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from Ohio Valey Coal Co. on Pleasant Ridge Road in Alledonia reported contractors who were there the previous night had stolen items. The contractors had reportedly returned, and the caller requested to speak with a deputy in person.

At 7:52 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to Chini Orchard Road, Lafferty, where a person assaulted two females. According to report, there were weapons in the house and the suspect carries a pistol. Seven rifles were confiscated from the residence. The suspect was not located.

At 8:54 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported several male juveniles standing shirtless and holding shotguns in front of a yard on Sunset Hights in Bridgeport. A deputy responded to the area but found nothing.

At 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to Brubaker’s Store in Powhatan Point to investigate a report of a person allegedly taking a money bag containing $1,000 and deposit slips from under the counter.

At 10:39 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to Key-Bellaire Road where a Polaris Ranger was stolen.

At 4:34 p.m. Monday, police went the 1900 block of Warwood Avenue to investigate a report of a juvenile male being beaten up by another juvenile male.

At 1:30 p.m. Monday, police went to a Woodsdale business in regards to two runaway juveniles.

Hit And Run

On Monday, police investigated a possible hit and run vehicle accident on Hazlett Avenue.

DUI

On Monday, police responded to a call about an erratic driver on Interstate 70. As a result, they arrested David Kaczmaric, 53, for aggravated DUI.

On Monday, police arrested Douglas V. Barnette, 20, of Glen Dale for failure to appear.

At 1:59 p.m. Monday, a resident on National Road, Bridgeport, reported being harassed by neighbor.

At 8:34 a.m. Monday, a person at Buckeye Fuel And Food, High Ridge Road, St. Clairsville, reported someone broke a window and took items from the store.

On Monday, a person at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, reported finding a cash box while cutting grass. A deputy responded and took the item to the sheriff’s office.

At 8 a.m. Monday, a person at Evensong Drive, St. Clairsville, reported a work trailer was broken into and tools were taken.

At 8:14 a.m. Monday, a resident at Bend Fork Road, Armstrong Mills, reported trouble with a neighbor.

At 10:02 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported three juveniles throwing flowers across the parking lot of Kmart at the Ohio Valley Mall. Units patrolled the area but did not located the subjects.
