Guard Is Arrested In Sex Case
WHEELING – State Police on Wednesday arrested Lincoln Detention Center officer Krisinda Renne McMahon for allegedly having sexual contact with a female juvenile inmate.
McMahon, 41, of 26 Seventh St., McMechen, is charged with five counts of imposition of sexual acts on a person incarcerated or under supervision.
If convicted of all five counts, she would face five to 15 years in prison, according to state law.
A criminal complaint states that on Wednesday, a West Virginia State Police trooper went to the center, located in Wheeling, to investigate the allegation.
According to the report, the trooper spoke with the alleged victim, who told him that McMahon had sexual contact with her on five occasions between March and June.
According to the complaint, another juvenile corroborated the victim’s story, adding that she acted as a “lookout” to prevent McMahon from getting caught.
The report states McMahon confessed to having sexual contact with the victim on one occasion in the downstairs bathroom at the detention center.
Ohio County Senior Status Magistrate Howard Carpenter set bond at $2,500.
