Local Men Nabbed in Tuscarawas County Murder Probe

STEUBENVILLE –Three Jefferson County men were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a murder in Tuscarawas County that happened early on Monday.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said deputies assisted the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Department in arresting the men. They did not specify where they located the suspects.

Taken into custody on pending murder charges were Kyle Boyd, 22, of 260 Ohio 151, Mingo Junction; Jordan Robinson, 20, of 7818 County Road 39, Bloomingdale; and Arnoldo Moreno, 19, of 3742 Township Road 120, Dillonvale.

According to published reports, the Newcomerstown Police Department issued a press release on Monday stating officers responded to a call at 7:24 a.m. Monday of an unresponsive man lying in the front yard of a residence. Police described him as a young adult man with a gunshot wound to the back.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

The victim’s name was not immediately released pending positive identification and notification of the family, according to police.

Abdalla said his deputies helped the Tuscarawas County sheriff’s deputies in tracking down the three suspects.

“It was a busy day, but really successful,” Abdalla said.

The sheriff said Tuscarawas County authorities were expected back today to continue the questioning of the suspects.
