WHEELING — School administrators in Ohio and Marshall counties, among others across the state, continue to weigh whether to open Monday as the statewide teacher strike enters a new week.

School superintendents took part in a conference call with state Superintendent Steven Paine today to discuss the matter. Following that call, Rick Jones, assistant superintendent in Ohio County, said the district would decide Sunday on how to proceed.

Marshall County schools is taking the same stance, officials there have said.

Several districts in the Eastern Panhandle had initially announced they would be open Monday, but this evening changed their stances following their call with Paine, published reports indicate. Currently, no school districts have announced they will be open Monday.
