Dozens participate Saturday in Colonial Era dancing during Fort Henry Days at Oglebay Park. The event is a tribute to colonial life from the time when Wheeling was a frontier community. It includes a re-enactment of the Battle of Fort Henry, which happened Sept. 11-13, 1782, and is considered to be one of the final frontier battles of the Revolutionary War. The event continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today with a battle re-enactment scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Also on schedule are informational lectures and demonstrations that explore the cultural aspects of colonial times.
