School Bus Crash Injures at Least One Student
Update: There is limited cellphone service from the crash area. Marshall County Schools officials will release more information when Superintendent Jeff Crook returns from the scene. The injured student suffered non-life threatening injuries, school officials said.
CAMERON — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a Marshall County school bus struck a tree that had fallen in the road, causing the bus to flip onto its side as it traveled down Dragon Highway near Hupp Ridge about at about 8:30 this morning. One student was injured and was transported to a local hospital.
The conditions of the bus driver or any other students on the bus are not known at this time. The road will remain closed for several hours to allow for the accident scene to be cleared. More information will be posted as it becomes known.
