John M. Carnahan Jr.

CARNAHAN, John Morrison, Jr., 71, of Middlebourne, W.Va., formerly of Weirton, W.Va., died December 8, 2007, at home.

He was born August 19, 1936, in Ohio, a son of the late John M. Sr., and Emma Price Carnahan.

John was a Protestant; and a retired lithographer of Crown Cork and Sales, Weirton.

He is survived by wife, Esther Brooks Helt Carnahan, whom he married April 19, 1986; daughters, Kathy Chodecki and husband, Rich, Deborah Carnahan and companion, Dale Hopper, and Alicia Lloyd and husband, Wade, all of Valparaiso, Ind.; step-children, Pamela Johnson (O.J.) Wellsburg, W.Va., Sheila Beaman (Phil) Wellsburg, Cheryl Newbrough (David) Weirton, and John Helt (Cindy) Wellsburg; brothers, Lawrence Carnahan (Shirley) Texas, and Robert Carnahan, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, with the Rev. Harry Knight, Hooverson Heights, W. Va., Church of the Nazarene, officiating.

Interment in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, W.Va.
