COMM-MUTH, Catherine Amelia, 91, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2009 with her family beside her.
She was born in Toronto, Ohio, on March 26, 1917 to Frank and Leatine Comm.
She earned a Bachelors degree from St. Mary’s of the Springs College in Columbus, Ohio as a dietician.
She married the love of her life, Gilbert Muth on June 6, 1942 and they moved to California in 1959; living in Arcadia, Los Altos, Fresno and Napa.
Katz was a great cook who also had a remarkable sense of humor. Even in her final days, her wit and smile brought joy to her caregivers.
She was an avid bridge player who enjoyed her card games with her lady friends. Her faith was an important part of her life and it sustained her through both good and difficult times. She carried and presented herself with class and dignity and will always be remembered as a LADY.
Catherine is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Gilbert Muth, daughters, Julie Muth- Cummins of Mountain View, Calif., Johanna Muth and her husband, Harris Nussbaum of Napa, Calif. and granddaughters, Amber Cummins of San Jose, Calif. and Heather Cummins of San Francisco, Calif.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 5, 2009 at 11 a.m.
