GLUSTICH, Tammy Elaine Runyan, 44 of McMechen WV, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Liza’s Place (Valley Hospice) Wheeling WV.
She was a beloved wife, daughter and sister. Tammy was born February 19, 1965 in Bellaire OH. She was a 1983 graduate of Bellaire High School and was Catholic by Faith. She was preceded in death by her dog and buddy Reggie.
Tammy lived and loved life, and will live on through her husband, family and friends. She is our shining star and will guide us throughout our lives.
Tammy had been an employee of Convenient Food Mart on 16th Street in Wheeling for over 20 years before moving on to work for Schmitt Brothers Sunoco on 29th Street, for a short time before being diagnosed with lung cancer. Tammy battled lung cancer for months, while having this disease, she fought hard each day until she couldn’t take it any longer. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband Mark, their dog and girlfriend Abby, her parents, James and Rosemary Runyan of Bellaire OH, two brothers, James Runyan Jr. and his partner Greg Frye of Wheeling, Terry Runyan and his partner Doug Delaney of Morgantown WV, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling WV on Monday, October 12, 2009 from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
