LOGSDON, Betty “Imogene,” 87 of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
She was born October 17, 1922 in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late Encil H. and Grace Mae Dowler Hartley.
Imogene was a former employee of Dot’s Catering; a member of the American Legion Post #3 and Women of the Moose, both of Moundsville; a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Logsdon; a son, Ronald Logsdon; three brothers, Allen, Robert and William Hartley; three sisters Marian Clark, Patsy Crow and Eileen Strawderman.
Surviving are a son, Dean (Charolette) Logsdon of Moundsville; two daughters, Beverly (Kay) Hill of Moundsville and Judy (Wayne) Shook of Cameron; a brother, Don (Wanda) Hartley of Moundsville; a daughter-in-law, Judy Logsdon of Moundsville; eleven grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchilren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 with Pastor Paul K. Smith officiating.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard, WV.
