TAYLOR, William K. “Bill,” 62 of Wellsburg, W.Va., passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Weirton Medical Center. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He was born on April 24, 1947 in Wheeling, W.Va. a son of the late William Robert and Irene Vivian Litten Taylor. Bill was a 1965 graduate of Wellsburg High School. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Bill was employed at the WV Department of Highways as a Store Keeper #3. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1564 in Wellsburg, W.Va. As a member of the Moose Golf League he opened his home for several years for the golf league social held every Thursday evening. Along with golfing Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family at their camp “R Camp” at the Arlington Cabins. He was also a big fan of #24 Jeff Gordon and an avid patron of the Tyler County Speedway.
Surviving is his wife Esther “Essie” (Taylor) Taylor whom he would have been married to for 41 years on April 19, 2010, his son, Jeffrey Taylor and wife, Tasha of Wellsburg, W.Va., three grandsons who were the joy of his life, Kenny, Carson, and Nathan Taylor, two Sisters, Shelia Adams (Jeff) of Wellsburg, W.Va., Darlene “Dee” Boniey (Paul) of Follansbee, W.Va., his Father and Mother-in-law, William and Audrey Taylor of Wellsburg, W.Va., three sisters-in-law, LouAnn Dawson (Jim), Clara Jo Zatta (Ted), and Bertha Guio, one Brother-in-law, Larry Taylor (Toni), many loved nieces and Nephews including, Tara Bowers (Matthew), Ryan Boniey (Jerrica), Dean Taylor, Jimmy Taylor (Heather), Laura Matteson (Bill), Matthew Taylor, Shannon Taylor, Audra Hansen (Leo), Marie Kosut (Edward), CJ Gottardi, Adam and Gabe Guio and many great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 19 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 20 from 1-3 & 5-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, W.Va. where services will be held on Wednesday, April 21 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Aaron Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Beech Bottom, W.Va.
Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Loyal Order of Moose Services will be held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
