Linda Jo Boyd

BOYD, Linda Jo Dirbas, 68, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 7, 2010.

Linda was born on February 26, 1942 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Florence Dirbas.

She was graduate of Triadelphia High School and served as co-chairman on the Class of ‘ 60 Reunion Committee for the class reunions. Linda was active in Stone Presbyterian Church and had served as a deacon. Linda had a 29 year career with the American Assoc. of Zoological Parks and Aquariums (now AZA) and traveled across the country serving as Meetings Manager until her retirement. She was a member of the Sassy Sisters Red Hats and Tuesday and Friday afternoon Bridge clubs. She loved watching “Days of Our Lives,” playing cards, watching TV shows, playing games on the computer, family gatherings and her grandchildren. She and her husband, Allan, enjoyed world-wide traveling with friends in their retirement.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Allan, of 48 years; daughter, Jo Ellen (Bill) Rouse; son, Joseph Allan (Lisa) Boyd; daughter, Tracy Lynn Boyd; mother, Florence Dirbas Davis; sister, Debra Jean (Vernon) Craze; grandchildren, William Allan Rouse, Brandt Davis Rouse, Leah Jones Rouse, Gwyneth Jo Triplett-Boyd, Lilith Mykal Triplett-Boyd, Nicole Katherine Boyd; several cousins, nieces and a nephew.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Dirbas; step-father, William Earl Davis; sister, Glenda Joy Zambito.

Viewing at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street in Elm Grove from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Monday, August 9 with services Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Robert Nagy of Stone Presbyterian Church. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
