Gwendolyn FROHNAPFEL

FROHNAPFEL, M. Gwendolyn, 88, of Proctor, W.Va., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, W.Va., surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Frohnapfel was born April 10, 1922 in Marshall County, a daughter of the late Louis and Emma L. (Taylor) Kull. She was a retired employee of Tabar & Klug Insurance Co. and was a member of St. Joseph Settlement Catholic Church, Proctor.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frohnapfel was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Kull; and two sisters, Mary Alice Marshall and Hazel Gates.

She is survived by her two sons, James Frohnapfel and his wife Debra of Proctor and Robert Frohnapfel of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Mary Kay French and her husband, Daniel of Moundsville, W.Va. and Marti Snyder and her husband, Terry of Wheeling; a sister, Janice Fox of Moundsville; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m., Monday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where a rosary service will be held at 6 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11 at St. Joseph Settlement Catholic Church, with the Rev. Prakash Sebastian, H.G.N. as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Settlement Catholic Church Cemetery, Proctor.
