KLEE, Roscoe L. “Rocky,” 92, of Bellaire, Ohio, died Sunday, August 21, 2011, in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born September 4, 1918 in Bellaire, son of the late Roscoe C. and Lillian Blanche Johnson Klee.
Rocky was retired from the former International Harvester, was a member of the Masonic Ionic Lodge 438 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville (50 years), VFW Post 626, American Legion Post 52, Lifetime member of the NRA, and was an Army veteran of WWII with the 29th Division and a D-Day survivor.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Frances McMahon Klee, a daughter, Linda Klee Hubbs and her husband Rodney of Moundsville, W.Va., a sister, Phoebe Klee Dickerhoff, of North Jackson, Ohio, two grandchildren; Scott (Laura) Hubbs, Tammy (Chris) Sawyer, all of Columbus, two great-grandchildren; Mason and Emma Sawyer and nieces and nephews.
Friends received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire, where services are Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Hubbs and Rev. Donald Lawson officiating. Burial follows in Belmont Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Masonic services will be conducted Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Full military honors will be conducted at 12:45 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral ceremony. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
