Stella Venskoske

VENSKOSKE, Stella Theresa Golebiewski, 95, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Wheeling.

She was born January 20, 1916 in Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of the late Stanley and Amelia Ruducha Golebiewski.

Mrs. Venskoske retired after 37 years of service with the Former Bloch Brothers Tobacco Company. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling and a former member of the St. Ladislaus Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Venskoske; a grandson, Jimmy Sengewalt; two brothers, Joseph and Alphonsus Golebiewski.

Surviving are her two sons, William A. Venskoske and his companion, Thelma of Wheeling and Floyd B. Venskoske and his wife, Nancy of Moundsville, W.Va; a daughter, Anna Mae Sengewalt and her husband, James of Valley Grove; a brother, Frank Dombrowski of Wheeling; a sister, Julia Pasden of Warwood; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grand children; seven great-great- grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 at Kepner Funeral Home, 36th and Jacob St. South, Wheeling (304-232-4060). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Frank O’Kruta as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling. Rosary Devotions will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.
