Margaret DeMuth

DEMUTH, Margaret J. “Peg,” 90, of Arbutus Park, Clarksburg, WV, departed this life on July 15, 2012, at the United Hospital Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Wheeling, WV, on January 4, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph Englebert Klug and Elizabeth Bott Klug.

Mrs. DeMuth was married to her husband, Donald E. DeMuth, on October 12, 1957, who resides at their residence.

She is also survived by her daughter, Elizabeth “Bets” Barnes and her husband Randy of Clarksburg; her grandson, Michael D. Barnes of Clarksburg as well as several nieces and nephews from Wheeling.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. DeMuth was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcella Finnegan and Elizabeth McCulley and two brothers, Louis Klug and Charles Klug.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a member of the Perpetual Help Daughters, and Saint Michael’s Christian Mothers of Wheeling. She was a former member of the Bridgeport Country Club and was an avid bridge player.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

There will be a prayer vigil at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Stonewood, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Father D. Kent Durig as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
