KOSKY, Andrew F., 88, of Moundsville, W.Va., died Saturday, September 29, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 11, 1924, in Wheeling, W.Va. a son of the late Alexander and Madge Mullin Kosky.
Mr. Kosky was a retired brakeman with the B&O Railroad, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Moundsville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Jack and Frank Kosky; and a son-in-law, Doug Strope.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary “Luella” Waters Kosky; three sons, Rick “Bear” (Crystal) Kosky and Duke (Diane) Kosky all of Moundsville and Daniel (April) Kosky of McMechen, W.Va.; two daughters, Connie (Craig) Fullerton of Moundsville and Donna (Chris) Strope Taskalines of Wheeling; three grandsons, Doug (Kimberly) Kosky, Bobby Kosky and Tim Kosky; three granddaughters, Wendy (Justin) Fullerton Smith, Andrea and Hannah Strope; a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Kosky; a great- grandson, Drake Kosky; a brother, Alex Kosky of Bellaire, OH; a sister, Roseann Wodusky of Wheeling; a sister-in-law, Annette Waters of McMechen; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville with Rev. Ranjan Ekka, TOR as celebrant.
Interment in McMechen Cemetery, McMechen, W.Va.
