Dean Stutler

STUTLER, L. Dean, age 86, of Highland Ave., New Martinsville, WV, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Wetzel County Hospital.

He was born December 17, 1925 in Harrison County the son of the late Henry and Edna Woofter Stutler.

He was retired chemical operator at Bayer, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the New Martinsville Moose and American Legion, and a Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Stutler and a daughter, Sharon Hammel.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Stutler; a son, Larry Dean (Vickey) Stutler of Paden City; three stepsons, Dave (Lisa) Howell, Daniel (Becky) Howell and James Howell all of New Martinsville; a sister in law, Ann Rivers of Florida; five granchildren, Michael Dean Stutler, Amber Dotson, Tina (Jim) Longwell, Lisa (Chris) Sawyers, and Christina Clayton; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cory, Chelsea and Jordon Longwell, Shawn and Donovan Sawyers, Brayden Lee, Laci Dotson, Machaih Hartley, and Jackson Dean Stutler; and great-great- grandchildren, Launa and Chloe Longwell, and Jacob Ganady Dean Williams.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Taylor officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville where the Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
