PARSONS, Michael Paul, 59, of New Martinsville, WV, formerly of Paden City, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 30, 2012.
Michael was born November 2, 1952 in Cleveland, OH, son of the late Archie Leroy and Olga Kathryn Crow Parsons.
Michael was a self-employed contractor and tile layer by trade, he was a Christian by faith and loved to sing and play his guitar in church. Michael was an accomplished musician and was well known throughout the area and Tennessee for his country and gospel singing. He headlined many many venues in the Ohio Valley over the past forty-five years. Michael left behind a legacy of music that he passed on to family and friends both young and old.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Chester James Parsons.
Surviving are his daughter, Amy (Neal) Michaels of Daniels, WV; son, Matthew Boor of Kissimmee, FL; three brothers, Robert (Maggie) Parsons of Olyphant, PA, Ed (Donna) Parsons of Paden City, WV and Dana Hall of New Martinsville, WV; sister, Lora Lee (Bill) Bailey of Rest Church, VA; grandson, Peyton Michaels and several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City, WV where service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 with Evangelist Ron Crowe and Pastor Joyce Hill co-officiating.
Interment in Northview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
