BARANSKI, Susan K. “Susie,” 60, of Bellaire, Ohio, formerly of East Wheeling, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at home.
She was born August 25, 1952, a daughter to the late John and Edie Kotlas.
Susan was a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. She was a devoted wife and mother and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as spending time with her family and playing poker. She also loved to fish. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Kotlas, and stepson Joseph Baranski.
Surviving are her loving husband, Stanley Baranski of Bellaire, OH; two sons, Brian (Jamie) Phillips of Wheeling and Brent ( Jessica) Phillips of Bellaire; one stepdaughter, Melissa (Matt) Schrebe of Wheeling; one stepson, Craig (Nancy) Baranski of Wheeling; nine grandchildren, Jorden, Tyler, and Jaela Phillps, Matthew, Ryan, Marissa and Courtney Schrebe, and Mitchell and Abigail Baranski; nephews, Michael Kotlas of Indiana, and Bobbie Kotlas of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, October 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling, with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
