BAKER, Clarence “Elwood,” age 86, of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, OH.
He was born April 18, 1926, in Marshall County, WV, the son of the late Clarence and Della Cunningham Baker.
He was a WWII Army veteran, having served with special units in the Philippines; was a retired employee from the former Triangle Conduit; a member of Bowman Ridge Methodist Church; and enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling throughout West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Baker; and a brother, Merl “Jake” Baker.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd Baker of Moundsville; a granddaughter, Barbara (Scott) Lusk of Moundsville; and a great-grandson, Darius Lusk of Moundsville.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Smith officiating.
Interment in Greenview Cemetery, Moundsville where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
