SELMON, John A. “Jack,” 77, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Blaine, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at Forest Hill Retirement Center St. Clairsville.
He was born June 6, 1935, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Albert and Louise (Pyle) Selmon.
He was a retired Caretaker for Linwood Cemetery Blaine and an Army veteran in Korea.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Selmon, and a brother, William Robert Selmon.
Jack is survived by his children, Jackie Selmon of Colerain, Paula Eddy of Wellsburg, WV, Earl Selmon of Wheeling and Bruce (Debbi) Selmon of Moundsville; five grandchildren, Gregory, Jonathon and Cory Eddy, Cheyenne Selmon, and Lindsay Nolan.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Jack’s life on Friday December 7, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. Services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Full military services will be held on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. by the Belmont County VFW Honor Guard at the funeral home.
