FROHNAPFEL, Gerald A., 70, of St. Joseph’s Settlement, Proctor, died Thursday.

Visitation Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville, with rosary devotions Sunday at 6 p.m.

Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Proctor.

FROHNAPFEL, Gerald A., age 70, of St. Joseph’s Settlement, Proctor, WV died Thursday, January 3, 2013, at home.

He was born August 28, 1942, in Marshall County, WV the son of the late Anthony “Buss” and Gertrude Blatt Frohnapfel.

He was retired from Bayer Corporation, having worked for 35 years; was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; loved farming, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, and playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Anthony Frohnapfel.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Jean Frohnapfel; a daughter, Shellie Jean (Mike) Pekula of St. Joseph’s Settlement, Proctor; three grandchildren, Breanna Jean, Scott Anthony, and Brooklyn Jean Pekula; his twin sister, Geraldine Stout of New Martinsville; two sisters, Leona Kirkland of New Martinsville, and Mary Yaney of Moundsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where Rosary Devotions will be recited Sunday at 6 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 65 Frohnapfel Rd., Proctor with Fr. Prakash Sebastian as celebrant.

Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Proctor.
