McMAHON, Mary Klovanish, passed Monday.
Visitation 2-5 p.m. Friday at Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., Avella. Mass 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church.
McMAHON, Mary Klovanish, 82, of Wheeling, WV, was taken by the angels, while being comforted by her family on January 14, 2013, in Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, Wheeling, WV.
She was born February 3, 1930, in Penowa, daughter of the late Peter and Helen Herczuszky Klovanish.
Mrs. McMahon worked as a private nurse and LPN for 10 years.
She was a former member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Avella and a member of the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church of Elm Grove, WV.
On September 13, 1950 she married Thomas J. McMahon, who died August 4, 1991.
In the last months of her life a loving network of nieces and nephews provided family support.
Surviving Mrs. McMahon are a daughter, Mary Ellen (McMahon) Zager and her husband Larry Keckler of Divide, CO; two grandchildren, Paris Kathleen Reilley and Karen Jo Reilley; three great-grandchildren, Mary Autumn Massarro, Hope Noel Massarro and Joshua Brennan Massarro; two sisters, Helen Huggins and her husband Shirrel of Beech Bottom, WV and Margaret Dougmore of Euclid, OH.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents are a sister, Anna Berry; three brothers, Michael, John and Peter Klovanish.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 18, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, Inc., located at 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 19, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church located at 95 Highland Avenue, Avella, with Rev. Robert M. Staszewski officiating.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Avella.
