MUNDIE, Neal Watts, 69, of Wheeling passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital.
Neal was born in Wheeling, son of the late Katherine Folmar Mundie and Leonard Osborne Mundie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Folmar Bieniek.
He is survived by his wife Kathy F. Mundie; six children, Neal W. Mundie Jr. and his partner Kimberly Thomas of Columbus, OH, Neal W. Mundie of Wheeling, Shane Pritt of Wheeling, Kim Ramsey and her husband Tyler of Virginia Beach, VA, Brittany Mundie of Martins Ferry, OH, and Tammy Waldrum and her husband Johnnie of Wheeling; 3 step-children, Danny Hott Jr. of Findlay, OH, Jamie Hott of Columbus, OH, and Amy Hott and her partner Chris Norris of Moundsville, WV; grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, and Katie Ramsey, Melique Mundie, Jamel Smith, and Kei’leight Wade, Jorquis and Jorkia Davis, Amber Apache, Tyler, Jay, Tiffany, Tierra and her husband, Michael Corey, and Natasha Waldrum; and a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Corey.
He was an active member of Elm Grove Eagles, Cave Club of Wheeling and Iola Club of Wheeling. He was also an avid sportsman and a diehard WVU and Steelers football fan.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where services will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cindy Murphy officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family.
