VINKA, William A. “Bill,” Sr., 75, of Bellaire, OH, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Wheeling Hospital Medical Park.
He was born December 19, 1937, in Bellaire, the son of the late Joseph and Jean Marinacci Vinka.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran; a retired employee from Ormet Corp.; a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bellaire; loved fishing, hunting, lawn mower tractor racing, woodworking; and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nancy Vinka; two sons, William A., Jr. (Lisa) Vinka of Westerville, OH, and John J. (Stephanie) Vinka of Bellaire; a daughter, Audra L. (Glenn) Yoho of Bellaire; three brothers, Joseph (Tillie) Vinka of Bellaire, Raymond (Patsy) Vinka of Shadyside, OH, and Mark (Mamie) Masters of Tiltonsville, OH; three half-brothers, Greg, Gary, and Nick Vinka, all of Ohio; two half-sisters, JoAnn and Tina Vinka, both of Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Anthony, Alex, Gabbie, Dominick, Mia, James, and Chase.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, 400 33rd St., Bellaire, with Vigil Services at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 415 37th St., Bellaire, with Fr. Daniel Heusel as celebrant.
Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
