Anna McGlumphy

McGLUMPHY, Anna Marie (Baker) 88, formerly of Elm Grove,WV, died on Monday, February 18, 2013, at East Ohio Regional Hospital.

Anne “Gockel” was the daughter of the late Norbert and Angela (Stenger) Baker of Elm Grove and the widow of Julian “Mac” McGlumphy who predeceased her in 1984.

She was a Catholic by faith and a graduate of the St. Joseph Academy class of 1942. She was a retired cashier from the Elm Terrace Grocery store.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Norbert “Bud” Baker; her sister, Mary Louise Raab; daughter-in- law, Leslie Ann (Brammer) McGlumphy; granddaughters, Jo Ann Jones and Heather Nicole Miller; grandson, Jerry Anthony “Jerbear” McGlumphy Jr.; and great-grandson, Zachariah Daugherty.

Anna Marie is survived by her five children, James A. McGlumphy (Jackie), Wheeling, Judith A. Daugherty (Rick), Wheeling, Jerry A. McGlumphy Sr., Wheeling, Joseph A. McGlumphy (Linda), St. Clairsville, and Jody A. Miller (Gary), Triadelphia. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph (Veneida) Baker; sisters, Angela Gaynor and Marcella (Paul) McGinnis; 12 grandchildren, Kate and Lori McGlumphy, Ricky Jones (Betsy), Chris Daugherty (Jenna), Jaime (Eric) Giorlando, Brannen Daugherty (Michael), Julia, Jillian and Joel McGlumphy, and Sarah, Samuel and Nathan Miller; nine great-grandchildren, Abby and Jeremiah Jones, Jake, Jillian, Jordan and Jenna Giorlando and Josie, Natalie and Danielle Daugherty.

Friends will be received at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV, on Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. (304-242- 2311) followed by rosary services at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Anthony Cincinnati presiding.

Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
