Doris Wolff

WOLFF, Doris Ann, age 80, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at her home.

Born November 24, 1932, in Cameron, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. (Happy) Yost, Sr. and Eva L. (Stewart) Yost.

After graduation from Cameron High School, Doris worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., and served as Secretary to the Executive Officer and retired from the position as Secretary to the Commanding Officer from the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg.

Doris was a member of First Christian Church, Lemoyne for over 50 years. She played piano and organ and belonged to the Harrisburg Organ Society, Hanover Organ and Piano Club and the former York Organ Club. She was also a member and Public Relations Officer for NARFE Chapter 1816; Order of Eastern Star Chapter 544; the American Legion Auxiliary Post 109; Cumberland County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; the Mechanicsburg Area Senior Adult Center; West Shore Genealogy Club; and the Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Norman E. Wolff; two sisters, Noreetta J. Yost and Betty L. Rainwater; a brother, Charles E. Yost, Jr.; and a niece Leann Zeigler.

Surviving are a brother, Thomas D. Yost Sr. of Monongahela; a sister, Kay Chambers (Paul) of Moundsville, WV; sister- in-law, Sandy Yost of Mechanicsburg and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at First Christian Church, Lemoyne, PA, with visitation held from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Rolling Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 442 Hummel Ave., Lemoyne, PA 17043.
