CROW, Dorothy Eileen, 87, of Bellaire, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in New Martinsville, West Virginia.
She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on November 12, 1925, a daughter of the late William and Eleanor Banig Crawford.
Dorothy was an LPN with the California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She was an Episcopal by faith; a member of the American Legion Post 521 Auxiliary in Shadyside, Ohio, IAC, Bellaire Eagles 371 FOE, Cauliflower Alley Club, Hollywood Appreciation Club and the Saints and Sinners Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James F. Littleton, and her second husband, Dale R. Crow; three sisters: Betty Blazek, Judy Varcalle and Anna Mullens; and two brothers, Bill and James Crawford.
Surviving are her sister, Eleanor Behres of St. Clairsville, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and stepchildren, including her niece, Stephanie (Joe) Kulin, whom she treated like a daughter. Also Don and Glenda Rose and Rusty, whom she resided with, and her longtime special friend, Cindy Dalto.
Dorothy was an amazing dog lover and always had one or more all her life.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire, Ohio, on Friday from 3 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. with the Rev. James Hoff officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio, will be held at the convenience of the family.
