JACK, Evelyn Dorsey, B., 97, of Wheeling, WV, who was affectionately known as “Aunt Nick” passed away at OVMC hospital.
Aunt Nick resided at the Welty Home, Washington Avenue, Wheeling, since May 2009.
She was the youngest daughter of the late Charles and Lena Neidermeyer Dorsey, born in Marshall County on March 7, 1915.
Aunt Nick was preceded in death her parents, son Charles Jack, her husband, Paul Jack, four brothers, Irvin, Edwin, Howard and Sherman Dorsey, two sisters, Helena Dorsey and Beulah Strober.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Jack Jr. (Cary) of Ukiah, CA; Richard William Jack (Josephine) of Goodman, KS; three nephews, Howard “Mel” Dorsey (Janet) of Wheeling; Roger Dorsey (Donna) of Glen Dale, WV; “Bud” Dorsey of Littleton, WV; two nieces of New Philadelphia, Ohio.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services by Pastor Paul Schafer of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013.
Entombment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Sherrard, WV.
