POLLOCK, John Scott, known by many as “Jack,” age 64, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013, at his home in Dublin, OH.
Born May 15, 1948, the son of the late John C. and Rose (Pempek) Pollock. Jack graduated from The Ohio State University with his Bachelor of Science in Education, 1970; Master’s Degree, Master of Arts, 1975. Jack taught school at Berry Jr. High, 1970-1979; Teaching Assistant at The Ohio State University, 1979-1980; Columbus Alternative High School, 1980-1985; Columbus Public Schools, Department of Program Evaluation, 1985-1999. Wherever he went, Jack was liked by everyone. Jack was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan.
Survived by sisters, Rosalie (Dick) Dlesk of Wheeling WV, Louise Strauss of St. Clairsville, OH, Sandra (Dave) Brothers of Bridgeport, OH, Kay (Chuck) Moore of Worthington, OH, Patty (Lou) Krol of Yorkville, OH, Marsha Zupko of Colerain, OH, Janice Pollock of Bridgeport, OH; brothers, Ronald (Pam) Pollock of St. Clairsville, OH, Robert (Connie) Pollock of Martins Ferry, OH; also many nieces and nephews, he was affectionately called “Uncle Jack.” Jack also leaves behind many friends from Columbus and Wheeling, WV.
Burial will be at the convenience of his loving family. Jack will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV, next to his mother and father.
