NORMAN, Dr. Robert E., Jr., MD, of Akron, OH, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2013.
Bob was born on April 5, 1949, in Wheeling, West Virginia, and earned his medical degree from the University of West Virginia in 1975. He was currently the medical director of Warrensville Developmental Center and the Village at St. Edwards.
He was a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association, participating in many fund raising activities.
Dr. Norman loved his work and was devoted to the many, many patients he cared for over the years.
His interests included cooking and listening to music, especially classical and oldies. His family will sorely miss his wonderful sense of humor and the love he had for them and all those he cared for.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert Norman Sr. He is survived by his wife, Icena, whom he loved dearly; his mother, JoAnn; his daughter, Patricia Nestor; granddaughter, Hanna; brother, James Norman; sister, Lynda (Kenny) Hill, nephew, Joshua Norman; and nieces, Lauren and Kristen Hill.

Funeral services will be private.
