MOREHEAD, Bob, 66, of Billings, MT, passed away on April 25, 2013 surrounded by his family after a tremendously valiant and long struggle with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
He was born on January 30, 1947 in Morgantown, WV, son of the late Bob Morehead Sr. and Deloris Faye Grimes.
He married Mary Ann Spangler on June, 21, 1969 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He earned a B.S. degree in geology and an M.S. degree in mining engineering from West Virginia University. He was licensed as a professional engineer in Montana, Colorado, Missouri, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Family meant everything to Bob. He was devoted to his wife, sons and grandchildren. He was a staunch gun rights advocate. Although he may have called many places home, he was always a West Virginia Mountaineer at heart.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Rachel; son Mark; and grandchildren, Michael Thomas and Reagan Jean, all of Billings; brother, Russ of Flanders, NJ; brother, Steve, of Morgantown, WV; and a sister, Sandy Dove, from Martinsburg, WV, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Michael Paul.
The funeral service is planned for Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Faith Chapel in Billings followed by a graveside service at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park. Smith Downtown Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
