Friends will be received from noon-3 and 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013.
BONNELL, Douglas Earl Owen, 18, of Triadelphia, WV, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013.
He was born May 4, 1994, in Tuscaloosa, AL, son of Sarah Jane (Edgell) McCombs and step-father, Isaac McCombs of Triadelphia, and the late Kelly L. Bonnell.
Douglas was a ninth grader at Wheeling Park High School and was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Valley Grove, WV.
He was a unique kind hearted guy, who would do anything to help others. He was loved and will be greatly missed by many, and he loved being around his family. He loved motorcycles, cars, fishing, hunting, music and video games.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Irene Bonnell, and his uncle, Earl Edgell.
Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father, are his fiance, Jessica Duke and their son, Braydon Bonnell of Triadelphia; a sister, Latrisha Thornburg and her husband, Jeff and their daughter, Payton of Triadelphia; maternal grandparents, Edward and Emma Jane Edgell of Triadelphia; paternal grandfather, Arnold Bonnell of Lumberport, WV; his aunt, Deborah and her husband, Donnie Wilson of Vance , AL; his uncle , Edward Edgell, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Peterson, AL; many cousins including James and Betty Edgell, Breanna, Christiann, Little James, Joey Edgell, Jeanna and Tommy Lagarone, Dustin, Angel, Dalton Fondren, former step-father, John Akers, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from noon-3 and 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013, with the Reverend Roger Rakon officiating. Interment in Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling.
