Helen Kramer

KRAMER, Helen Marie (Kenney), 93, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, with her son at her side.

Helen was born September 9, 1919 in Monroe County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Francis and Cora (Gill) Kenney. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church; the A.A.R.P; and the Happy Hilltoppers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Kramer, in 1994; a son, Don J. Kramer; five sisters, Pearl, Augusta, Lucille, Gertrude and Hilda; and a brother, Lester.

Helen is survived by her son, Bernie R. Kramer and his companion, Penne Cooper of Wheeling; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Monday, April 22, 2013, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dennis Schuelkens as celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
