Ivan Gorby

GORBY, Ivan F., 99, of R.D. 2, Moundsville died Tuesday, April 23 at Moundsville Health Care, Moundsville.

He was born March 16, 1914 in Marshall County, son of Perry and Pearl Earliwine Gorby.

He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, U.S. Air Force, veteran of WWII, member of American Legion Post 3, Moundsville, retired from the former Triangle Conduit.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Ruth Smith Gorby; three sisters, Gail Hunter, June Barger and Alice Hummel; one brother, J.E. Gorby.

Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth (Gene) Estep, Linda Delbert and Alice Martin (Douglas), all of Moundsville; two sons, Robert (Nancy) and James of Moundsville; one sister, Ada Gonta, Pittsburgh; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitations at Ivan’s request. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
