BOYCE, Jean, 96, passed away suddenly April 24, 2013 at Forrest Hill Retirement Community, St. Clairsville, OH.
Born on October 10, 1916 in Detroit, MI the daughter of the late Martin and Bernice Szewc, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Bernard Boyce.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Mark Bishop of Cranberry Township, PA.
Jean was an active Eastern Star and served as Conductress at the Bridgeport Chapter. She served as a volunteer for Senior Citizens at St. Clairsville. Her passion was bingo but she loved to play the organ and accordion. Her favorite sports were bowling and dancing, and she loved living in Florida during the winters for last 40 years.
Surviving are her children, Phyllis (Millard) Bishop and Louis (Eileen) Boyce; her grandson, Brent Bishop; three granddaughters, Valerie Bryan, Marcie Fortun, and Melanie Boyce; six great-grandchildren, Leanne Bishop, Garrett Bishop, Joshua Bishop, Kaylee Boyce, Morgan Webb and Fara Fortun.
A private memorial service will be held for Jean.
